The story of my great passion

My name is Fiammetta, I was born in Genoa on 2 June 1968, and I am the founder and owner of the first Goccia Di Luna Centre Massage Wellness Centre in Rapallo. Originally located on Via della Libertà 28, it later became the Wellness Corner of the Best Western Tigullio Royal Hotel, just 50 metres away on the seafront.

Let me tell you my story!

Since my teenage years, I've been deeply fascinated by human anatomy. At both the Liceo Artistico N. Barabino and the Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti in Genoa, Anatomy was my favourite subject! Through my detailed study of human anatomy, particularly the muscles, to master accurate drawing, I enjoyed "verifying" the actual structure of muscles and other anatomical parts. I often had fun giving massages to anyone who came my way, using my hands to feel for muscle fibres and any contractions...

Teachers, relatives, friends… even at school, during class! Although my massages were still "amateur" at the time, they were very popular and, most importantly,

they made people feel great!!! And I loved that.

During my childhood, I practised artistic gymnastics until I was 14, and I finished my last two years in competitive training. This intense regimen caused various injuries, and by the age of 16, I was struggling with constant back pain and other issues. As a result, I had to start frequenting physiotherapy centres to treat the conditions that had developed. At the same time, I continued to refine my knowledge of Anatomy by pursuing my studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti (Academy of Fine Arts).

It was my love for Anatomy, combined with the issues I was experiencing with my spine, that made me realise I wanted to learn more. I also began to realise that the physiotherapists weren't solving my problems... Precisely for this reason, I became more and more passionate about massage and treatments that could help improve the state of my back...

After years of treatments and afternoons wasted, I finally understood what the problem was: I needed targeted treatments to relieve the muscle contractions. I realised on my own (the doctors "hadn't thought of it"!!!) that working only on the skeletal structure wasn't enough... and thinking back to how much better the people I treated with my massages felt right away, at 18, I found myself saying to myself, "In my next life, I'll be a masseuse!" But… why wait until my next life???" "No! I'm young... I'm alive now, and it's now that I want to dedicate myself to this!" At twenty-one, I experienced the classic "calling"! A vision, where I saw myself at 50, a successful massage therapist... that was the moment I knew! That was my path! I had to wait for the right moment... I chose a highly qualified training path with recognised certificates, not just pieces of paper or attendance certificates, but complete and qualifying educational programmes. The thing that has always made me feel fulfilled and satisfied is knowing that I am well-prepared and competent, so I can help people feel better!"

My studies and specialisations

This is where I started, or rather, continued! I expanded my studies by attending Massage Training Schools, completing comprehensive and in-depth courses at first, second, and third levels. I certainly didn't settle for those "one-day" or weekend courses but sought a reputable institution with qualified instructors. I attended continuously from October to June, with both theoretical and practical exams, studying and deepening my knowledge with second, third, and advanced level specialisations, earning two qualification certificates and 14 specialisations..

I started working in a private studio for a few years. I then decided to experience "employee work" by accepting a significant job offer, which turned out to be crucial for my future career.

At the Hotel Excelsior Palace in San Michele di Pagana (Rapallo), a luxurious 5-star hotel catering to an elite clientele, including Arab princes, actors, footballers, and famous TV personalities (I had the privilege of being the personal masseuse for several well-known presenters, such as Paolo Bonolis, Giorgio Mastrota, Carlo Conti, and others), I began to approach the world of beauty in a more conceptual way. I've always seen beauty not just as a means of enhancing appearance, but as a powerful tool for amplifying and maintaining overall well-being. Through beauty treatments, you can preserve excellent health for both the body and the mind. As the saying goes: you feel better because you take care of yourself!

Your beauty comes from feeling good!

The experience I had at the Excelsior Palace made me realise that I wanted to take on a personal challenge: to open my own Wellness Centre, initially specialising solely in massage. I aimed to manage and grow it with my mindset, attention to detail, and my desire to dedicate myself to others, making them feel cared for, pampered, and spoiled…!

Goccia Di Luna Center Massage was founded in June 2007 as the first and only wellness centre (distinct from a beauty centre) on the Ligurian Riviera di Levante, with a special focus on massage.

An elegant and exclusive environment

This was exactly what I wanted to create. An elegant and exclusive environment, different from all the other centres around.
It had to have its own style, its own character, located on the third floor rather than at street level, in order to create large spaces with roomy areas, a prestigious and refined institute, special, unique in all of Rapallo.

Why Goccia di Luna?

The name is inspired by two key elements of my life: at 14, I was known as "Goccia di Luna", a nickname I used while communicating with my group of amateur radio friends. We would broadcast "CQ" on the "baracchino", reaching out to countries across the globe, including America, Japan, and Australia. Also, when I decided to open my Centre, I thought: what comes to mind when I think of something relaxing and peaceful?

For me, it's like a peaceful evening stroll along the beach, bathed in moonlight, with its silver glow shimmering on the sea. This is how I've always envisioned my role for my clients – a small drop of moonlight, offering a serene moment of calm and tranquillity. A place where you can feel relaxed and cherished, in a cosy, welcoming atmosphere with soft lighting. It's a space where, the moment you step in, you can escape into a little sanctuary of perfect relaxation... all just for you!

From the very first year, despite being originally established as a Wellness Centre dedicated to massage, clients continuously and consistently requested beauty treatments. I decided to consider the request, realising that in my centre, beauty treatments wouldn't be the "end goal" but one of the "means" to achieve wellness. Caring for your appearance, maintaining skin health, or simply dedicating an hour to yourself with a relaxing manicure, facial hydration, or removing calluses – these are all forms of self-care, which ultimately contribute to "feeling good" and focusing on your well-being.

Collaborations

Since 2010, especially during the summer, I often received clients sent directly from hotels in Rapallo to my centre, in order to satisfy their requests for various treatments. In particular, the Hotel Europa, the Astoria and the Tigullio Royal. The owner of the hotel, following my advice, decided to open a "wellness corner" inside the hotel to create an even more "convenient and accessible" service for their guests.

In the summer of 2013, I began receiving daily requests to work directly at the hotel. Given the positive and fulfilling nature of the collaboration, I made the decision in January 2014 to relocate the Centre from its original location on Via della Libertà to the Wellness Room at the Tigullio Royal Hotel, allowing for a more efficient and streamlined service.

Elegance and well-being at a 4-star level, with carefully designed and harmonious spaces that upheld the prestige and refined style of the hotel. But I wasn't just present in Rapallo! It's also worth noting that, over time, I have always maintained a wellness corner in Genoa, with a studio in my home, allowing all my clients from Genoa to continue seeing me without having to travel to Rapallo.

Since 1 May 2017, after ending my professional relationship with the Hotel Tigullio Royal, I have continued my work, fully dedicating myself to my studio in Genoa. In the following summers, my expertise was requested in Casarza Ligure and Chiavari, and in the summer of 2020, I worked in Zoagli. This was a pivotal and extremely positive experience, which made me realise that I wanted to return to Rapallo. This way, I could reconnect with my loyal clientele from previous years and continue to serve my cherished clients from Zoagli, who remain faithful to this day!

The brand new GocciaDiLuna Beauty and Wellness Centre opened its doors on 18 May 2021, located on one of the most prestigious and renowned streets in Rapallo, Corso Matteotti, in the heart of the city and just a stone's throw from the beautiful seafront.

Designed to relax you visually from the moment you step inside!

At the GocciaDiLuna Beauty Centre in Rapallo, you'll find a meticulously designed environment, created specifically to make you forget the world outside, giving you the opportunity to finally dedicate a couple of hours all to yourself!

The premises are spacious, inviting, and well-balanced, with each room decorated in an elegant ethnic style, featuring fine bamboo and pine wood furniture. As you enter, you'll find the station for Wellness Manicure and nail reconstruction. The main area is devoted to 26 types of massages, facial and body treatments, semi-permanent makeup, and a thorough and intensive Wellness Pedicure.

In the second room, all advanced treatments are performed with state-of-the-art technology.
